Jenna and Allie over at Flick Chicks have come up with a fantastic Blogathon idea to name and possibly shame yourself with your guilty pleasure movies. Which of those you just absolutely love and they might not actually be that great!

Here are the rules…

1 – You can choose and discuss as many or as few movies as you like. We both did a Top 10, but you can just choose 1 movie if you like. Just tell us a bit about the movie and why you like it so much.

2 – Please create a new post for our Blogathon, rather than linking an old post you may have already done.

3 – Please include our Blogathon Banner anywhere in your post

4 – The deadline for entries is Sunday, 31st August, so there’s plenty of time!

I have decided to do this post as part of the 7 Things feature I often do on the blog. So I will be putting down 7 of my guilty pleasure films as part of this amazing Blogathon! They aren’t going to be in any particular order so here it goes …

1. Escape Plan (Review)

Stallone and Schwarzenegger are my two main acting guilty pleasures, we all know they aren’t the best actors but they certainly entertain us. So when this film came out and they were both in it together properly, I was honestly so excited by it! I honestly could have just made a guilty pleasure list with only Schwarzenegger films on it!

2. Top Gun

I feel the need, the need for speed. One of only a couple of lines which are incredible in this film. It really is one of the ultimate guilty pleasures, I don’t understand how anyone could not enjoy watching this film.

3. Ghostbusters

Who you gonna call? It really is such a fantastic film to watch over and over again. Total 80s classic! The funny lines and everything to go with it, cannot help but still love it after all these years, Ghostbusters.

4. My Best Friends Wedding – (Review)

One of my favourite romantic comedy films, you cannot help but love this one even though you might not want to admit it. Julia Roberts is just brilliant and even though she is trying to wreck a wedding you want her to win!

5. Mortal Kombat – (Review)

I remember the good old days of the Sega Mega Drive and playing on the game Mortal Kombat … Therefore this film is still a guilty pleasure which I managed to watch again in the last couple of years thanks to Netflix!

6. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie – (Review)

I am a total 90s kid and wanted nothing more in life than to be a Power Ranger! I watched this again recently and it really took me back to feeling like a kid. I would easily watch it again as well, to bring that carefree feeling back is brilliant even if the film is actually not … I don’t even care, I still love it!

7. Mars Attacks

Probably the silliest alien film you will come across, but what an incredible cast. I mean come on Jack Nicholson is the President and Tom Jones randomly sings “It’s Not Unusual” next to a deer. I still totally get a little kick out of watching this one!
